Is the MSW Program Right for You?

Are you a person who enjoys helping others? Do you feel fulfilled by devoting your time and energy to improving lives? If so, then a career as a social worker may be the right professional path for you -- and USFSM's Master of Social Work (MSW) degree can help you get there!

Social workers advise clients through life’s daily challenges and transitions, helping individuals and families find the necessary resources to solve personal problems and improve relationships. They desire to make a difference in the world in a variety of settings, sometimes on the level of domestic conflict, sometimes serving as state and federal investigators.

Social workers operate in private practices, public institutions, as researchers and social policy advocates. They address social issues including family violence, poverty, child abuse, and homelessness and they often work closely with people in a therapeutic setting where excellent listening and problem-solving skills are required.

This MSW program is hosted by USF Tampa on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus. The next cohort available is for Summer 2020 enrollment.

When applying to the MSW Summer 2020 cohort, please select USF Tampa as your campus. After you submit your application, you will be asked to choose your cohort campus -- please select "Sarasota-Manatee".
